Socio-cultural intervention in situations of exclusion
Today's reality, changing and in constant evolution, jointly with the innovations in the social area, make essential a quality training for people developing socio-educational actions, whether from voluntary and solidarity associations or professionals from this area. The former have a constant need for updating, recycling and comparing their own intervention with other professionals'.
Our training offer gives a response to these needs by a large range of offers in training activities that are aimed at encouraging or improving the professional intervention by: adquisition of techniques such as analyse, diagnosis, team evaluation, groups dynamics,supervision, mediation...
going deeply into specific features and problems of concrete social groups such as
chilhood at risk situation, handicapped persons, ethnic minorities, refugees...
compromise in different fields of specific intervention such as teaching people to read and write, education for adults, sociomedical intervention, occupational insertion...

Sociomedical intervention on the elderly
Our large educational offer intends to give an response to training needs in all working fields in relation with the elderly. So, our present training offer is addressed to the elderly themselves, animators, gerontology assistants, different members of interdisciplinary teams and the management professionals. All this is conceived from a perspective of global attention to the elderly, by working for their quality of life, taking their prominence as starting point, and by team work.

The contents of this training comprise a large range of knowledges, techniques and ressources:
1. facing old age
2. socio-cultural animation and intervention on the elderly

stimulant animation
physical and sforts activities for the elderly
main lines of animation with the elderly
play and psycho-motricity with the elderly

The stimulant animation is an intervention pattern, in the framework of socio-cultural animation, on the institutionalized elderly and/or those who suffer neurodegenerative deseases. This pattern is been created and developed by teachers from the Institute.

The basic training we offer is officially approved by the Diploma of Animator for Elderly of the Catalan Institute of New Professions of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Several organizations working in the field of social interventions belong to the non profitmaking sector and were created because of the need and interest in direct intervention. A big deal of this institutions focuses their forces on social care work leaving aside management aspects, so that their resources are not used to the full. It has a direct effect on their results and impact on society. At the meantime, external elements force the institutions to be more and more performing, to obtain better results and to diversify their financial backing.

This course takes into account all internal or external dimensions of the management of institutions:
internal planning and structure
legal and fiscal framework
economic control and finding financial backing
policy of human resources and management skills
design of projects and services
communication plans
computer sciences and new technologies
